Kerstin Jeckel (* 1960) lives and works in Wiesbaden. Jeckel's paintings - whether in large, spacious format, in her mosaic-like series or in her miniatures on paper - are tendernesses between colors. Minimalist in the design, the artist always seeks to produce a harmonious consonance of the tones and values. She succeeds. Starting from a fundamental interest in the aesthetic virtue of the colors, in particular, at points of contact and interfaces as well as their spatial, corporeal relief, her paintings move from abstraction to the symbolic object. Figurative ornaments and above all the forms of nature with blossoms, leaves, tendrils and roots inspire Jeckel's art. Jeckel offers the viewer wonderfully powerful, heart-warming art.
Katinka Fischer, Freie culture journalist (art kaleidoscope, Frankfurt a. M., FAZ u.a.):

Kerstin Jeckel's instinctive intuition for new tones, subtle nuances, and undreamed of harmonies creates an abundance of color.
